Job Overview – Area Sales Officer Barpeta
The Area Sales Officer will lead trade sales operations in the Barpeta territory. Your primary focus will be achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets, increasing market share, and ensuring long-term business growth for Dalmia Cement products.

Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets while taking proactive steps to increase market share in the Barpeta region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate developers, dealers, construction companies, and end customers for repeat orders and long-term retention
- Monitor daily sales performance, identify fluctuations, and implement preventive or corrective measures quickly
- Generate new leads regularly and pitch existing as well as upcoming Dalmia Cement products effectively
- Execute weekly sales plans, map existing territories, and explore new areas to maximize sales
- Track Below-The-Line (BTL) inventory (danglers, posters, POP materials) at dealer outlets and coordinate with the marketing team for timely replenishment
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by resolving grievances promptly
- Coordinate with the Technical Support Team for site visits to address technical queries and close deals
- Use CRM tools (Dealer App, ASO App, SAP) for better visibility, performance monitoring, and timely course correction
Eligibility Criteria & Experience
Educational Qualification:
- Graduation is mandatory
- MBA or equivalent degree is preferred (added advantage for North East candidates)
Experience Required:
- 2–8 years overall (as per grade and market)
- Minimum 3+ years in cement trade sales with reputed companies like Ultratech, Shree Cement, JSW Cement, Nuvoco, Adani Cement, Ramco, JK Cement, or Star Cement
- Candidates from smaller cement companies considered only if they have exceptional performance
- Strong local market knowledge of Barpeta and nearby areas in Assam is highly desirable
